Tips For Post Pregnancy Love Making

Post Pregnancy Intercourse

People avoid sex during pregnancy, because of the fear that it can affect their womb. As these couple are devoid of sex during pregnancy, they think of working on it soon after the delivery but during post pregnancy usually women experience lack of interest or lower libido.

Though women want to have sex with their partners, due to the 9 month long pregnancy their body doesn't allow any other exertion. Here are some tips for those ladies who want to resume their love making sessions after delivery.

Normal Time To Start Sex After Pregnancy
: During the first week after the delivery usually women experience exhaustion as they have to take care of the new born and adjust to the new sphere of their life. Also their blotted body takes time get into the right shape. If you have had an episiotomy (a surgical incision made in the vagina to help the smooth delivery of the baby), experts say to stay away from having sex for at least four to six weeks. On the other hand, those who have had a cesarean can start having sex sooner that the woman who have had a normal delivery.

Postnatal Sexual Desire
: Women usually experience a lack of vaginal lubrication after the delivery. Experts say that you need not worry about this as your estrogen level can vary after delivery and would result in vaginal dryness. In this case you can use water - based vaginal lubricants, massage or oral sex.

Pelvic Muscle Exercise
: Even after the delivery it is strongly recommended to continue with your pelvic muscle exercise, as stretched perineal muscles will result in a less pleasing intercourse and orgasm.

I would also include some tips to get yourself into mood after pregnancy:

  • Send those cheesy and sexy lines to your loved ones when ever you get a chance. Sexual chats over phone or through mails can keep up yours, as well as your partners mood.
  • Once you put your baby into sleep go for a shower together, this act will inject the mood in to both of you.
  • After the baby's arrival, it's usually not feasible to carry on with night dates or a dinner outside but this doesn't mean that you have to stop dating. You can try home dating by trying new recipes for dinner, lit candles, use flowers to add beauty and enthusiasm to your home date.
  • Always be there for each other, usually men complaint that women shift their concentration and care completely to the baby after delivery. So make sure that you give your partner the same attention and care, and this should be followed by both men and women.
