The early mornings after a restful night's sleep or the day after a nap are best suitable for sex. The heart patient has to wait at least three hours after eating a full meal before indulging in sex. This time will allow your food to digest and your heart will not have to work for double activities. You must take utmost care to take the prescribed drugs before having sex.

The sexual positions after a heart attack or heart surgery must be taken care of. It is better to lie by the side or with him or her in front or behind. These positions will reduce the pressure on the chest wall and allows the couple to breathe easily. You can also use a broad based chair low enough to let you rest your feet flat on the floor. You have to immediately consult a doctor if; you feel very rapid or irregular heart beats, marked shortness of breath, and pressure, pain or discomfort on jaw, neck, arm, chest or stomach.
